There are two kinds of snow mountains technic: the first kind requires crossing glacier; the second kind involves a dangerous road that needs to be passed by using rope, ascender or other technical equipment. The Sanfeng peak needs the second one. The last part of the tour before reach the peak, you will face a stone wall, which needs rope and ascender to climb and a descender to go down.

Day 1: Chengdu – Dujiangyan – Four Sisters Mountain Town

On the next morning, we start to drive to Four Girls Mountain Town while gradually ascend to the eastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau. After arriving, you might have a slight high-altitude reaction for 3,200m (10,499ft) altitude of Four Girls Mountain Town. It’s always good to walk slowly and relax to gradually adapt to the plateau area. You may take a rest in the hotel or wander around to see this small town inhabited by Gyarong Tibetans, who are considered as a branch of Tibetans living in West Sichuan Plateau area.
In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner including local dishes and you may also try Tibetan buttered tea. After dinner, a professional mountain guide will share experiences and explain about the climbing equipment, routes and high-altitude adaptation to help you get fully prepared for your next day SanFeng climbing.
Day 2: Four Girls Mountain TownSanFeng Base Camp(7km by feet,5 hours)

After breakfast, you will start hiking with your mountain guide along the path into Changping Valley of Four Girls Mountain National Park. During this part of hiking, you will walk on the lower elevation trails and then slowly ascend to the higher altitude. The luggage will be carried by the horses, so the climber can travel light. You can choose to ride a horse, upon advance request and payment, if you want to save energy for tomorrow.
Snacks, drinks, energy bars and fruits will be provided on the way. The service team will engage preparing dinner after arriving at the base. SanFeng Base Camp stands at an altitude of 4,400 meters, and there is no lodging here, so you will spend the night camping outside before reaching SanFeng summit.
Day 3:SanFeng Base CampChengdu(4.2km by feet,230km by car,totally 14 hours)
The climbing starts at 3:00 am to SanFeng Summit. It’s about 4.2km (2.6 miles) from SanFeng Base Camp to the summit. Depending on individual physical strengths, it will take 5 to 7 hours to reach the top. This part of the trail is quite rugged and steeper. In winter, such elevation, the trail may be covered with thick snow. The last part of the climbing is quite challenging, and there is a cliff wall before the summit that seems almost vertical to most climbers. At this part, your guide will climb the cliff first to fix a rope, then you could use the ascender to climb up. You should pay attention to the falling rocks while climbing or descending the cliff, and always wear your helmet.If the time matches perfectly, you will have the glorious sight of the sunrise on the top. Then slowly descending from the top, you will safely return to the town to end your perfect mount climbing.
After conquering the SanFeng peak of Four Girls Mountain, we will return to Chengdu with lifetime memories to remember and share with your family and friends.
